Biography

Tim Dyer is an acclaimed guitarist, singer/songwriter who easily crosses genres from funk, blues, R&B and soulful rock. 

Co-founder of popular southern Vermont band, Social Medication, Tim is a veteran of the New England jam band circuit of the 1990s. 

During his time studying at Berklee School of Music, Tim’s playing attracted the attention of Teddy Slatus, long time manager of the legendary blues guitarist, Johnny Winter. 

Tim went on to play live shows supporting Johnny Winter, before relocating to Austin, TX - landing right in the heart of the fertile Austin music scene, playing many live shows in Austin’s finest live music venues.

It wasn't long before Tim Dyer joined Austin blues/rock royalty, Malford Milligan (Storyville), and Tommy Shannon (Stevie Ray Vaughan), playing locally and touring, as well as gigs with many other Austin music legends including Roscoe Beck, Tommy Taylor, Will Sexton, David Holt, Alan Haynes, among others. 

As a solo artist Tim Dyer continues to push creative boundaries while remaining deeply committed to creating music that resonates on a profound level with audiences near and far.
